Sort


a()=Sort(b(){,start,end})

This function sorts a one dimensional numeric array. The optional parameters, start and end, can be used to specify the starting and ending index range to sort.

The end index, if specified, points to the index+1 of the last element to sort.

If the start and end parameters are not specified, the entire array is sorted.

The sorted array is returned. The original array is not changed.


x$()=Sort$(y$(){,case,start,end})

This function sorts a one dimensional string array.

If the optional parameter case is 0, a non-case sensitive sort (default) is performed. If case is 1, a case sensitive sort is performed.

The optional parameters, start and end, can be used to specify the starting and ending index range to sort.

The end index, if specified, points to the index+1 of the last element to sort.

If the start and end parameters are not specified, the entire array is sorted.

The sorted array is returned. The original array is not changed.
