FormatTime$()


t$ = FormatTime$(ms,format$)

This function takes the time (ms) in milliseconds since midnight January 1, 1970 (Universal Time Code) and returns a text string with the formatted Date/Time. The format$ determines exactly how the Date/Time will be formatted.


Date/Time Formats

Within a Date/Time format string, unquoted letters from 'A' to 'Z' and from 'a' to 'z' are interpreted as pattern letters representing the components of a date or time string.


Text can be inserted into the formatted Date/Time by surrounding the text with single quotes ('). A single quote may be inserted into the format by using two single quotes (''). All other characters are not interpreted; they're simply copied into the output string during formatting or matched against the input string during parsing.


The following pattern letters are defined (all other characters from 'A' to 'Z' and from 'a' to 'z' are reserved):
