HttpGet

HttpGet url$, response$

This function does a HTTP GET to the specified URL address. The data value pairs are encoded in url$ in the standard GET format.

This function returns a response which will depend on what the URL specified wants to return.

On failure the HttpGetError$() function will not return and empty string "" and should be used to get an idea what the problem was.

Here is an example of how to GET to the demo gettest.php on the Mintoris web site. gettest.php simply echos back two values set in data$.

url$ = "www.mintoris.com/demo/gettest.php?name=fred&age=29"

HttpGet url$, response$
error$ = HttpGetError$()
If error$ <> "" Then
Print "GET Error: "; error$
End
Endif

Print "Response: "; response$

Here is the contents of gettest.php. As you can see it simply echos the values back.

<?php
echo 'Name='.$_GET["name"];
echo ';Age='.$_GET["age"];
?>
